  1. dude theres a war for that...

    you know that right??

    ???????

thats why bush is pissed he owns a oil company and gas comes from oil

    and

dont be dumb just get a hybrid or a honda gx

not all cars run on gas

  2. Because its almost summer time.

  3. You don't grow oil as you grow grass, idiot.

    It's running out.

If you wern't a hermit, maybe you would have known that.

  4. Everybody wants more money + Barrels of oil cost more than they did last week = everybody thinks they must charge more.

  5. because your president declared war on islam

  6. well, to answer your question i should tell :

we have to type of supplies, one is interchangebale and one is not. oil and gas are type 2. so as time goes these type2 things will get more and more expensive.\

the other reason is the low value of dollar. i mean American dollar. you know oil is sold bye American dollars so when it gets weaker the oil would be more expensive.

I'm a market manager in oil. if you need more help just contact me

  7. seriously, F cuba!

  8. because in is a non-renewable resource and its scarce too. so coutries which have access to it makes it more scarece by reducing supply and asking for higher price.

  9. ugh idk but my mom doesnt always have enough for it...

  10. The value of the dollar has dropped substantially, so it takes more money to import oil.

  11. Because the oil companies love our money and we do not do anything about it. Of course, if we lived in an actual democracy, we would take over the oil companies and do what is right for the people in the country. But since the people in this country have no say in what goes on, we can't do anything about it.

  12. I work at a refinery for BP. I'll tell you why. The major oil companies drove all the independent refineries out of business years ago. They now have a monopoly on the gasoline business. Also, crude oil is at record highs, not to mention Ethanol is $4 a gallon. We need more refineries. All the crude in the world does no good if you can't refine it.

  13. They don't care about you. And we don't have tons of oil. It's a nasty business and corrupts alot of men and women.

  14. Because we made ourselves to dependent from gas nowadays, and the gas companies are using it

  15. The Iraq war, instability in producer countries, the economic rise of China (lots of people buying cars) and ever diminishing supply + increasing demand. Given that so many household items are made from Oil it's a huge problem. The lack of supply is also affecting transportation costs for the oil, which is further reducing supply... which is affecting transportation costs again... the costs of oil are even digging into the profitability of refineries which produce the gas, so they have to jack up their prices. We're basically F'd in the A when it comes to oil...

Also another major factor is the decreasing value of the dollar. Because oil is imported (and for the most part traded for dollars) the less the dollar is worth the more expensive oil becomes to us because we have to spend more dollars to buy the same amount of oil, regardless of all the other factors that are increasing its price.

Even without all of the factors in the first paragraph, the fall of the dollar would still be causing significant increases in the price of gas. And what's even more amazing is that a loop may result whereby as the US economy gets worse and worse (except arguably for manufacturing) the rise of oil and gas may escalate any downward trends in the economy thus further raising gas prices.

  16. its al gore's fault. he wants more people to take him serial

  17. OPEC and supply and demand... and our willingness to pay, my friend.
