Why is it that when people get saved they get all emotional in tears and ****. I personally have never accepted Christ, well I have, but I didn't feel anything. Is getting saved seriously that emotional?

  1. I wouldn't know... I don't believe in god or anything like that. It kind of freaks me out when people claim they've been "saved". Saved how... did god pull you out of a fire or something? No... then why cry? I just don't get it. Then again... I wouldn't want to be saved anyway.

  2. well you know that you were that close to death. and then someone helped you and now you can live. wouldn't you be eternally grateful to that person? they saved your life.

  3. They act that way because they've been conditioned to believe that that's how they're supposed to feel.

  4. Maybe u need to find a different path to spirituality! that ok. good luck!

  5. I guess your answer would be saved from what. I find the people who are emotional have big closets with lots of bones in them, they deeply appreciate what Christ has done for them and they understand exactly what that is usually with a great amount of tears, a cleansing of sorts. I didnt cry either, but was joyfull. And which is it? Did you or didnt you ask Christ to come into your heart? If you excepted Christ to come into your heart, you could still have doubts that you are saved, or even why until you study Gods words enough and understand Gods heart, how gracious and kind and sweet and loving he is. A great book to read to understand this is "The Shack" It will help you to understand Jesus, God and and the Holy Spirit better than I have ever read or explained elsewhere. Just dont be so serious about it all, God loves you regardless of if you cry or not. There are alot of "expectations" in "religion"  But none in or from God. Which I know I just made some people mad for saying that but it is true. He loves you just as you are now. Not will be when you think you have lived a life so called "good enough" He is not up there with a big club waiting for you to make a mistake...and he doesnt care if you cry or not when you come to him. But most likely if you really are close to him..you will cry tears of joy, and tears of sorrow for the word "sin"....means "missing the mark" and we cause ourselves so much pain and suffering all to often.
