Why is green overpowering the other colors on my monitor?

I hooked up the component cables RGB to my TFT LCD monitor and all the images are green. I have tried to change the color settings on the monitor but it skips over the green setting and adjusting red and blue does very little. As of right now I don't receive orange, grey, white, or blue.

  1. its either the connection at the monitor or the wires

  2. You have a short in the cable, the monitor is ok.

Change out the cable, you are only getting the "G" in RGB

  3. Then one of your cables is not connected correctly or has a broken wire. Try to unplug reconnect the cable again firmly and if the green tint is still there, buy another cable.
