Why is guppies doing this?

one of my guppies that i got today is going top to the surface then come down like its dead, then do it again

Its perfectly fine and normal. Don't worry. I had fish that i thought many a time were dead because they were upside down but it turns out they were sleeping. If your worried seek advice from an expert in fish.

it could be possibly dying, you're question is kinda vague. The only thing i could think of is if you have some sort of aeration or a bubbler. My guppies go crazy for the bubbles. They follow the current in the water. When the bubbles come out they shoot up like a rocket!! Is this possibly what you are reffering too?

Do you have a bubbler to provide oxygen? It might be oxygen starved and is going to the suface to try and get some oxygen. Get a bubbler or blow some bubbles into the tank temporarily with a straw or a syringe in the meantime.

hmmm....thats wierd...sorry, i dont know why he's doin that

maybe he ran into the side of the tank a few too many times, lol
