Question:

Why is hard to run somedays and other days its not?

i just don't get it. somedays i can run 6 miles or more with no problem at all, but other days i struggle just to do 2 miles at the same pace.

i am very consistent with my diet and i do take a rest day once a week, so i don't see what the problem is.

any tips on how to get my running more consistent?

  1. Make sure you are always hydrated.

    get enough and consistent amount of sleep

    then you should get consistent resuslts.

    maybe the weather can come into play as well


  2. i've noticed i can run very well after a period of inactivity & that it is difficult to run the day after a very strenuous run. the way i try to regulate the difficulty & ease of my runs is to take every other day off... or, if i had a particularly hard run one day i will take of two days after that. i think it helps your muscles relax or something, but as that is not my area of expertise i can only guess. i'm not sure if you're training right now & can afford to lose time like that but if so, i would suggest 2 or even 3 days a week... just to make it easier.

    oh & one more thing make sure you are hydrated! lol you've heard this before, i'm sure but it's very important.

  3. Things you eat...how much water you drink...did you get enough sleep??
