Why is head of my Fly Trap plant turning black and seeping inwards?

Fed plant a bug, mouth is closed and now plant head and the neighboring head is turning black. Why and what can I do? Is this normal?

The "head' that you're talking about is actually the bloom of the plant and it's about to fall off.  It's perfectly normal.  The blooms on Venus fly traps are not like our mouths; they are only good for one "bite."  The fly you fed the plant has been broken down by the plant's digestive juices and about all that should be left in there now is the exoskeleton.  Since the plant can't get any more nutrients out of the fly and can't reuse the bloom, it's getting rid of it and ready to make another.  

You could be loosing the other bloom for a number of reasons.  It could be old and no longer viable.  The plant could be preparing to go into a dormant cycle.  It could also be under physiological stress(s) - too much or too little water, too much or too little of a nutrient, too little space in the pot.
