Why is heavy metal is being dumped into the ocean all the time if it poisons fish?

  1. Because it's convenient for the people who are doing it.  They dump it in and they never have to see it again.  It's cheap and out-of-sight.  Big-money companies don't give a d**n about their actions as long as it helps them immediately.  What if it comes back to bite them??  "I've got enough money".


  2. It's not being dumped from trucks, it's small compact florescent light bulbs that are tossed into landfills that are the problem.

    Congress made the safe incandescent light bulb illegal starting in 2012.  These lights will go into landfills and break.  When it rains, water will turn slightly acid and leach the mercury.  The water will collect and find its way into streams, then oceans.

    By 2025, no one will be able to eat fish again.

  3. Sometimes it can be an accident if the metal is poured into the ocean. Most of the time it isnt. It is pretty convenient for some to throw it into the ocean, instead of properly disposing of it. Sometimes it leaks.. People dont take in consideration of the fish in the ocean, poor fish ):
