The “real world” after graduation is radically different than school.

-In school a Wright-up is a joke/ at work a Wright-up is the first serious step in punishment

-in school a tardy is mean look from a teacher/ at work a tardy can be a serious black mark

-in school a no call/no show can result in a 0 in that days work, next to nothing/ at work a no call/no show can result in a don’t bother to come in ever agin

-if you talk back to a teacher the worst that will happen is a slap on the wrist and maybe a Wright-up-and maybe nothing at all/ talk back to a manager or customer the best you can hope for is a Wright-up and maybe fired

also fighting, bullying, name calling, just showing up and doing nothing, kissing, bathroom passes, spring, summer and Christmas break. All this and more is so different from the real world, and school is the place that should get you ready for the rest of your life. How can they do that if they create such a fancy

  1. Life is so unfair isn't it?  hmmmmmm

  2. I have to agree with you and all of your concepts.  I think at this age everybody is so busy trying to "find" themselves and establish independence from mom and dad that it makes kids do weird things that they would not or could not do under a working situation.

I  raised my kids to become responsible adults. Because without someone to help guild kids along, like a mom or a dad that really care, kids stay lost, even once in the work field.  My son washed his clothes at 7 yrs old and my daughter was 10!  kids can do so much more than we think they can.  You just have to stay behind them and say, "look this is how its going to be".Both are college grads.

It really starts from birth.  All of us need to know and realize that there are consequences for the mistakes we make in life and don't expect others to take the rap.

If everyone just followed the Golden Rule living would be so different in this world. (treat others the way you want to be treated).

  3. Obviously by your spelling, you need to spend more time in school before you even try the "real world".

You get out of school what you put in it.  Those who don't put effort into it flip my burgers for me and clear off my tables.
