I'm sorry, I hate hip-hop now! I hate all of these wack artist that are out now! I hate Lil Wayne I really dont get his appeal, he sounds ignorant all the time and he drinks cough syrup and he doesn't rap about anything. His music sucks he's just as bad as Soujia Boi, Dipset, Rick Ross, any every other wack fake wanna be MC. I'm so tired of it. They act as if Lil Wayne is the second coming. I'm sorry I know S***e when I see it. I don't understand people my age they will follow any prssy-azz trend. I appreicate relevant rappers who have actual talent like Lupe Fiasco, Kanye West(he can be a lil ignorant and arrogant too), Jay-z(he's okay but I don't think he's the greatest of all time), M.I.A.(yea shes a rapper), Pharell/N.E.R.D(very unique), Tupac, Biggie, Rakim, Ghostfacekiller, Nas, Outkast, etc...

  1. Its all about the money.  people like certain tracks for certain reasons. Alot listen for the beat and many listen for the hooks when it comes to mainstream music everything in between is just garbage. There is not too many lyrical artists out there anymore. Common is an amazing artist though. I wish hip hop would go back when it meant something. Now it seems like its all about some fad dances and whack lyrics. That why The Game said he retired, because he didn't want to be remembered in a time with these artists out now, but with the exception of a few songs it didn't seem like he was contributing much with all his gun violence lyrics.

  2. The only ones that keep it real are Nas and Jay Z

  3. i especially hate yung berg

  4. I Love Hip-Hop and I dont listen to most mainstream artists I like............... UGK, TUPAC,Biggie, Guerilla Maab(z-ro &Trae) and Devin Tha Dude as well as Bone Thugs N Harmony

I dont listen to too much new rap..... its garbage

  5. yeah , its terrible now; no more message, no more mixing of  beats, no rhymes, no lyrical skill. all Hip hop is now is some riped beat with a bunch of grunt noises, overwhelming repetitions, and over the top ego mania.

  6. yung bergs lyrics might be c**p but his songs sound good thats all that matters to me

  7. - Well its been commercialized for money purposes only; so that's what you see going on right now; some folk realized they could make huge profit off of the industry so they did

  8. It got pretty weird when 50 cent wanted to take me to a candy shop....

  9. Idk Hip-Hop Broke My Heart

  10. I can name at least 10 black folks including myself who feel the same way and 10 white folks who feel the opposite.

    Coincidence?

Nawww I'm just kidding...not really I think it lost it creativity to "sell, sell, sell" to the majority.

  11. Ayita do you want me to start producing//?. I would bring it all back for you :)

    -----

    ----

lol.hey how much did you pay for untitled//?

    ---

I don't have it yet, but I'll definitely get it.

  12. good rappers don't sell anymore, nas' album just came out a few weeks ago and i feel like i am the only one who bought it. most hip-hop lovers(myself included) opt for independent artists these days. i understand how you feel though.

  13. I agree 100%. Lupe is my absolute favorite right now. I like rappers whose music has actual substance. I really don't know why everyone is so hung up about Lil Wayne. He looks like a tarantula & is on acid half the time.

Now Nas, Pac? Now they're ARTISTS.

    "I know I can"

    "Dear mama"

    "Hero"

    Changes"

    There's some genuinely good rap.

  14. listen to immortal technique and jedi mind tricks, i got sick of the mainstream hip hop thing as well, do what i did and start listening to underground (h**l of alot better).

  15. Independent artists are the only ones who stay true to the feel of hip-hop and not the public perception of what is cool.. and that's what makes them great. The quality of what they do, and not the quantity to whom they cater.

I, myself am a fan of rap throughout the '90s, and anything after that has become nothing but repetitive catchphrases set to deep bass beats. Speaker candy, if you will.

  16. I agree with you. I mean, I can't even turn on my radio and find anything that's suitable to listen to anymore... I have to pop in CDs all the time now. Most rap and rap artists out there right now are 100% c**p. Makes me wish for the good ole days :)
