Why is iTunes deleting the songs that I have added when I add new ones?

I got a new laptop, so I am putting all my songs on the new iTunes program, basically, I am starting fresh. I add songs by folders. I have quite a few folders, I click "Add Folder", and the songs from Folder #1 gets transferred onto iTunes without any problem, when I am done, I add Folder #2, when Folder #2 gets transferred, I close the iTunes program. When I open it up again, and click to play the songs I just added from Folder #1, it has that little exclamation mark next to the song title (saying that it doesn't exist), and all the songs from Folder #1 had the same problem. This problem goes on with every folder.

Can anyone tell me what's going on??

  1. I think that it is not download properly as it is creating a file but actually not transforming the file in full and just create image of the same and you try to save it at some differnt place and give a diffrenet name to the folder and also check the momory  as some time it may be possible that these files may be saved in some other area and just showing the false image at some other area.
