Why is india a hot destination for BPO?

As we assume, the BPO ( Business Process Outsourcing ), first thing which comes to our mind is IT sector, and their outsourcing contracts with Europe and US Clientele. It is true they get the outsourcing due to availability of skilled work force at much lower cost, and mainly all technical people are well versed with the English. It is natural due to the present day India is focused with the development in IT sector.

The outsourcing process dates back, even before the IT boom in India. Industries which were having overflowing order books, are known to outsource the process to others, as per their standards. This was helping the small scale manufacturers, to run their show, with little investment. In present day consumer boom, where all MNC are expected to deliver their goods and services at much cheaper cost, without the burden of having large number of work force, are made it mandatory to outsource all their production. Most of the present FMCG Companies does not have a single production unit of their own. But still they have managed to maintain their respective positions, because of outsourcing their products to a low cost or tax free zones.

To be precise the amount involved in the " with in India " outsourcing is much more than the revenue consideration from IT related outsource from Europe and USA.

Probably because they'll work cheap and they are usually very educated. Best of both worlds, with the exception of people who talk like Apu calling themselves "Tim" and "Sarah" when you know they're real name is unpronounceable.
