  1. i feel exactly the same way most of the time

i just can't entertain without feeling like its too hard

i am usu really quiet and am always thinking so talking for a long time with others wears me out

  2. couple of possibilities here.

you may connect at a level where you take in their fears, failures or problems and as you can do nothing in their lives it depletes your emotional energy.

the other is that you may expend all of that energy keeping your life hidden or blocking out their lives that you end up feeling drained.

    normal is as normal does.

if you are impathetic yes you are normal

if you are paranoid or self protective yes you are normal.

now how are you going to learn to interact with people as equals and not feel them as a threat or a burden?  tmm

  3. Sounds like me.  Sometimes people can take it as ignorant or shy...I call it verbally conservative :). There's no such thing as "normal"

  4. Normal is relative. That's the first point I need to make. Everyone has a different perspective on what normal is, so technically, if you were trying to be normal, that's like trying to get an answer when someone keeps constantly changing the question. Second of all, you might just be an introvert. People can be introverts or extroverts. I am an introvert, and it took me a while to realize that that's okay. Extroverts 'recharge their batteries' by being around people. Introverts do it by being by themselves. If you get drained around people, that's all right. You need your alone time. If you would like to read more about being an introvert, there's an excellent book I own called Introvert Advantage. You can get it at amazon.com:

    Good luck!
