Never noted the US flag share the same colors of the French and many other flags, as well...?

With almost 200 Countries in the world, it's a matter of chance.

  2. There are only so many colors possible. The odds are some will match.

  3. I guess they like those colors. Fuscia & chatreuse don't make good national flag colors.

  4. Italy and Mexico were both strongly influenced by France, replacing the blue with green. They never realized they had the same flag until major international events like the Olympic games started happening, at which point they argued with each other for several years before Mexico gave up and added the Mexican seal to it's flag to differentiate them.

Iran is red white and green because of the pan-arab colors. Red, white, and black were the colors of the banner of a great Arab revolt against the Ottoman Empire, and this event is still remembered by the flags of most Middle Eastern nations - green is considered the color of the Islamic faith, and is often added to the red, white, and black.

  5. They did it just to get on our nerves, so that people like you can ask that question.
