Why is is that plant do not grow as well in boiled water which has been cooled to room temperature?

than in normal water which has not been boiled?

  1. I's say due to the fact that in boiling you removed most of the entrained gases in the liquid,  that is what happens during boiling.  This leaves no O2 or N2 for the plant to take in through its roots


  2. Is this a fact? I'd never heard that. Good question.
