Its not a fluke when I'm drunk as I've beaten the likes of Stevie Moore and Thomas Engert (For money too)

  1. A lot of people like to make a correlation between superior play and alcohol.  The main reason why some people play better when they are drunk is because their stroke mechanics are so poor when they're sober.  When you drink, you tend to abandon proper mechanics and play more on instinct alone to get you through.  If your mechanics are that poor to begin with, abandoning them will only help your game.  Before I had a clue what I was doing, I would find the same thing happening to me.  Now that my mechanics are much more in order, the opposite is true.  I tend to play just slightly worse after a few drinks.  I'm confident in my true, sober game, so alcohol can only make it worse.  My mechanics are second nature to me at this point, so I know they will be with me even if I have a few drinks.  Alcohol can relax you but it also clouds your judgment, your vision, your hand-eye coordination, etc?  If you are confident in your game, you'll notice a dramatic decrease in your level of anxiety and you won't feel the need for liquid courage.  M.D.-BCA Instructor/Referee.

  2. I agree with Johnny.

Put on your travelling shoes because I know a lot of guys who'll sent a cab for you and buy you double shots of whatever you think you need to get started.

I've seen too many guys make some of the stupidest bets and lose their paychecks because they had tooooo much booze (they call confidence) in them.

And then go home broke wondering... how could that have happen?

But, don't let me discourage you. You know yourself better than I. Good luck.

  3. They are right drunk you just say F it and shoot or you know your messed up and try harder,I wouldnt build a game around it if I were you.

  4. Maybe you have the shakes when you don't have enough liquor in you. (NOT A GOOD THING)

Maybe you are just so bad at it that getting drunk can only improve your game.

Oh well, a win is a win.  Right?

  5. Calms the nerves a bit you would have when sober most likely. And raises the confidence level.
