I don't want to hear from haters I'm A die hard JR fan and can't understand for the life of me why he runs good until the pit crew makes adjustments. You would think by now as long as tony and dale have worked together they would be on the same page? Seriously i need some logical answers not dumb answers from haters.

  1. I've been keeping up with lap times on FOX Trax. He has been running pretty consistent laps of about 171.5 mph the whole race. Tires wear down and he drops to about 168.

What has happened is Carl and Kyle and a few others has just increased their lap times. After a set of fresh tires the lap times for Carl and Kyle are 174.5 (+ or -).  Even in cars running in positions 3 through 6 were running 173 or 172. Jr's car just hasn't improved.

    ---------------

Exactly; He needs a crew chief that knows how to make positive changes. Jeff Gordon is a prime example of a driver that has talent and the crew chief just can't do the job. Since Gordon's crew chief left and went to Petty's organization what has Jeff Gordon done? Struggled. Again the same applies to Tony Sr. Since Tony Sr. left what has Dale Jr done? Struggled. This has happened ever since Tony Jr has taken over. They always start out good and then blow it. I have felt the same way for several years.

I have seen Dale Jr tell Tony Jr exactly what to do to the car and Tony Jr does something completely different to the car and screws it up and then after the race tells Dale Jr what happened.

  2. I honestly believe it's because he doesn't listen to Tony Eury Jr. he over rules most of his decisions. I think Tony Eury's a better crew chief than he's give credit for, and I tend to defend him because of that.

    However....

You're right, the chemistry between them just isn't there. I think Tony Eury Jr. would be better off with a driver that would listen to him, I think Dale would do better with a crew chief that tells him to "shut up and drive"

    Just my opinion.

  3. He uses he stuff to early and then his lack of driving skills takes over.  I think it's clear now that HMS has made a BIG mistake.

  4. Cuz the conditions change thru the race length.

  5. cause it chevy. chevy can last anymore. its all about toyota baby yeah hah haaaaa.

  6. Because they haven't learned to cheat like Kyle Busch. Kyle isn't winning on talent. I just watched him driving a speed demon car. How is this car so fast is the better question? Dale doesn't make the cheating adjustments during the race obviously.

  7. i think stinky  and winter glory hit it on the head dale jr needs  crew chief who has an idea on what to do and how to setup it up i respect that tony jr is a gambler but if u set your car up right you don't have to gamble every race Wen dale jr has strong cars at D E I  he had tony sr on the box you seen how good Brad K had been running in the Nation wide series with tony sr on the box

me if jr says do try this and this id do what ever he wanted me to do and maybe try something a tad different or talk to one my team mates and see what there trying or what there setup is

  8. I am also a huge Dale Jr fan, but here is my opinion.  When they have time to practice, prior to the race, they get it set up good for the first run of the race.  But I still think the problem is that Jr. doesn't know as much about the race car (engineering wise) as other drivers do.  He has immense talent as a driver, but I don't think he relays what adjustments need to be made to the crew chief in a manner that they can fix it properly.
