I love the videos these types of cameras provide. I must've been on like 10 different sites. They all tell you intricate details about them EXCEPT the price. I even went on ebay. Nothin. Is the sticker shock really going to be that bad that they can't just say...."hey this one is $3500". I have no idea if I can even afford one because I have nothing to go on. Someone on here said go to FRYS.com. They don't have them.

  1. just ask for a quote

  2. Most of them are rented out, not sold.  This is true of a lot of things in the film industry, for example, Panavision cameras and lenses (used in most Hollywood films) are exclusively rented out by Panavision so that they can control access and prices.  They don't want bad quality films being made on their equipment because it would hurt their image.

You should be looking at rental companies if you're serious about high speed video.  HD high speed cameras start at around $2500/day to rent. (1080p 1000fps)

  3. I would think the reason you don't find prices online, is because a high-speed camera is a piece of professional equipment, and it is not generally available to consumers, because its just too expensive for the general market.

If you really want to know what it costs you should contact a professional video and photo supplier - the kind of people that make and sell professional photo and video equipment to TV channels and movie studios.
