Why is it UNnecessary to study history???

It is very necessary and important to study history for many reasons.  They range from learning from past mistakes, give you a sense of pride, gives you an understanding of other cultures, helps you know the basics about great places you can visit.  If we didn't understand or study history, then they would probably tear down wonderful things like Stonehenge, Easter Island Statues, Mayan Temples, The Pyramids.  It also helps explain how we got to where we are!

Civilization is built upon a foundation of knowledge gained by previous generations.
