  1. That's the same as aker leaving the lions yet doggies had give away half of there draft picks. The bigger question is where will he go Carlton, Essendon, or Richmond the all need tall's in there centre who can rotate to the back line or foreward line and Chris has proven time and time again that his a versatile player. Who ever gets him will be sure to dominate the center clearances next season. Only time will tell.

  2. I think he's contracted until the official end of the season which must coincide with trade week.

It really does depend on Judd's good will towards his old club. If he wished, he could simply not sign with WCE and wait them out, then enter the pre-season draft as an uncontracted player where he could be picked up by Carlton.

By allowing WCE to negotiate before trade week, he's actually allowing the club to get some sort of return for their investment in him.

  3. There is no "good will" being displayed by Judd in this instance - this is all about what's in it for Chris Judd!!

If he just sat out his time & went into the national draft he would be at the mercy of whichever team wanted to pick him up. Then he would only be entitled to what that club offered his as payment!

This way, he is holding the gun at other clubs heads, by holding out for the highest bidder. If they don't offer him enough he can always resign with the Eagles.

He wont put himself in the draft - he's too much of a money-hungry selfish mummy's boy.
