  1. The truth is it may be alright to keep the frogs as pets. I cought a bullfrog about a year ago and he loves being in the tank I set up for him. He croaks every night, eats every day, spends time in the water and on land, hides in his underwater cave and land cave, hunts his food just as he would in the wild, etc. However, the only downside is the amount of money I have put into him to make him feel as if he is a wild frog. it cost me at least two dollar a week to feed him crickets, which in turn is over a hundred dollars a year. Not only that the tank it self cost over a hundred dollars to set up. Also you have to purchase calcium to coat the crickets with. It is well worth it though.

  2. I volenteer for wild life rescue. If this is a frog that it injured & u want to try to get the animal healthy again u can keep him in an inclosed aqarium mostly water with some rocks or a place to rest if he wants to get out of the water for awhile. You can feed him meal worms, crickets & other small insects & try to let him outside on the grass for some excercise daily & once u feel he's regained his strength u can let him go into a pond. If u want to keep him as a pet that is also FINE!!! I see some people here are talking as if they know what they r talking about, but Im laughing at alot of the comments being made....like saying they carry diseases & parasites. YES if it is a sick frog which u can pretty much tell weather it is or not, they may carry a parasite, but normal healthy frogs DO NOT pass on diseases to humans although if proper hand washing does not happen after handling the frog, there is a small chance of salmanilla poisoning. If u want to keep these frogs as a pet just make its environment as close as possible to a pond & he will be fine!!!

  3. They could die of stress related illness or starve in captivity for long periods of time

  4. well i just got a frog to nite my boyfriend caught it and gave it to me as a gift....i love animals so i thought it was kind of cute and romantic n a weird way. but i want to let it go becuase he looks un comfortable......
