Why is it acceptable for a woman to throw a drink in a mans face, but he is not allowed to retaliate or throw a drink in her face?

I am a woman and a guy threw a drink  in my face a few months ago because I stopped seeing him and then a few days later I  showed up at the bar we used to go to together with another guy. I don't know if that helps you but it does happen I guess. Although I am the only woman I know that has had that done to them by a guy!

I never have thrown a drink in someone;s face, i cant imagine me ever doing that...thats terrible! if i did i would expect to get hit!

i wouldnt normally throw drinks at anyone i just did it in defense of my husband who some one punched in face.

I don't think it is 'acceptable' to throw a drink in anyone's face, I personally did it when I was overwrought and very angry, but if the man concerned had thrown one back at me I wouldn't have considered myself hard-done by.

Most answers said it wasn't acceptable and I agree, and they got lots of thumbs down too. I think we have a thumb-down troll in our midst. I expect some shortly. :)

Most answers were sensible, especially the ones who say they wouldn't do it. You weren't the only one getting multiple thumbs down.

Ok - I counted. Maybe not most answers. Half. 12 out of 24 said they wouldn't waste their drink or wouldn't do it at all.

I m not gonna waste my drink on any bugger; I don’t give what s*x you are. At the local pub a schooner is now 4 bucks HA I m not wasting 4 bucks on someone who’s pissing me off. I’d just ignore them, roll my eyes and continue having fun somewhere else.

I would just call the cops.

       Destruction of property(alchohol can sometimes be a pain to get out) and assault with a deadly weapon.

       Then I would get a restraining order, civil court lawsuit for the dry cleaning bill.

  That would about do it.
