But you have to wake up earlier for school? How does that make sense? You have to wake up at like, 6 but you go to bed at like, 11 or 12.

  1. Between working, studying and other responsibilites you have less time in the day.  Also you are to be more responsibile enough to realize how much sleep you need to be able to get through daily tasks.

  2. There is a hormone in your body, and until it is released, you can't go to sleep. As you grow older, it takes longer for the hormone to be released. So really, you CaN't go to bed earlier.

  3. Your body actually starts craving staying up later& sleeping in later as you get into your teen years.

It has to do with your circadian rythym or something.  i learned about it in my psychology class, and in a book called "why do men fall asleep after s*x" (its not dirty like it sounds, it answers a bunch of offhand medical questions that no one wants to ask, or even usually thinks of!)

  4. An older person has so many things to do that's why they sleep late. And also a child must wake up early for school because it is  their responsibility

  5. It depends on  your parents i guess. I mean am 15 and i have to be in bed at 9, but i still sleep late, around 12/1.

  6. Actually you should have 9 hours of sleep, so it doesn't make sense. Maybe they are just preparing you for college...or parenthood.:) haha!

  7. Good god - when I was 13 my bedtime was 9pm!  It didn't get to 10pm until I was 17 and even now I still go to bed at 10pm!

Do your body a favour and go to sleep earlier then you won't worry about getting up at 6am!

  8. Teens have a different sleep cycle.  As they get older their bodies are geared to stay up later and get up mid morning or at noon.  it is just the way kids are built for a while.  It doesn't last much past 25 or 30.

But schools don't take that into consideration.  HS students are required to be in class early and they get out mid afternoon.  It is crazy.  Teens are chronically sleep deprived.

I hope the school administrators figure it out.

  9. idk.im not complaining though
