Why is it bad luck to let milk boil over?

I am taking an ancient mysteries class and i need to find out why there is a superstition that causes bad luck when milk boils over but none of the web sites i have found will say why.. Can anyone tell me why?

I found this: "The Mohammedans of Morocco believe that milk drawn from the cow retains such vital connection with the animal that any injury done to the milk will be sympathetically felt by the cow. Milk is never boiled by them in the same pot in which it has been drawn from the cow. They also believe that if milk boils over, the cow will have a diseased udder."

  3. Its the same thing as spilt milk, it comes from the fairies they get angry when people get upset for something that has happend out of there control, as the saying goes

    why cry over spilt milk!
