Why is it bad to show you license plate number on photos?

im in a "club" for the owners of Honda Ridgelines, and when ever i see other peoples pics the license plate is always blacked out why??? is it bad to show the plate number??

NOPE! Its just for "security" reasons so that if "people" were to look for cars in clubs to "see" them... they cant find the car or owner! But you shouldnt worry about a thing with your RIDGELINE!
