  1. Either time is fine, fall and winter are actually cheaper. Plus you get to be somewhere warm, when most are dealing with the cold. Also in the summer you run the risk of running into a hurricane, and usually that is the rainy season in the Caribbean, plus its very hot.

  2. weather and more people.

    this site is helpful check http://allcruiselines.info

  3. Hurricane season lasts from June til November, so any travel during those months are risky. The temperature is warmer in the summer but can still be quite pleasant during the winter months. I have traveled in both the summer and winter and found the water choppier in the winter but more stormy in the summer. I have taken 3 summer cruises and have outrun hurricanes each time.

  4. Pluses: Longer days, somewhat less crowded ports of call, and your children won't have to be taken out of school.

    Minuses: Really hot weather, fewer ships to choose from, generally higher prices from Memorial Day until Labor day, hurricane season starts June 1, and there will be MANY more children on board...

  5. Who said it was better?  Each has its advantages and disadvantages.  Winter is high season in the Caribbean.  However, summer is also expensive because that is when families with children can cruise.

    Summer is also hurricane season.  The hurricane season extends into the fall.  For this reason, spring is the best time to cruise in the Caribbean - in my opinion.

  6. I only go in the winter....Its a warm getaway..If you go in the summer you go from one hot place to another. Just dont go in the end of Sept-Oct thats hurricane season, went once then and hit the tail end of a hurricane, not so fun..We go every second week of January. Great time to go, while everyone is freezing you get to be nice warm and having fun in the sun!. I went once in the summer and it was too crowded, too hot and way too many little kids! I have 2 kids of my own, but its better when there are a lot of kids for them to play with but not 5 schools worth on one ship!!! If you want to go, i would seriously consider going in the winter...also when we go in the winter we go to florida or PR, which ever port we are leaving from a day early, just so that incase there is a snow storm, we have a day to play with!!

  7. probably a lot less expensive  & the weather is still perfect

    I think hurricane season begins in Sept most years

    (however there is only one Caribbean, not plural)

  8. Actually summer is probably not the best time to book a cruise.  Since the kids are out of school, prices will be double and of couse you will have a ship full of kids running around.  Also, it will be very, very hot down on the islands and finally you have to worry about hurricanes in the later parts of the summer , early fall.  I try to go mid fall or spring.

  9. Tropical locations do not vary much in temperature during the year. Summer cruises are less expensive, less crowded, and just as much fun as other times of the year.

  10. It's alot better to go to the caribbean in the summer because it is warmer, and you can enjoy the pool and the beaches & shopping and many other things.

    If you go in the winter, it is pointless to the fact that you are going to a nice beach, when it's freezing there, and when you get off to go shopping it isnt as enjoyable because your so cold, that that is all you are focusing on. Also, I know on many cruise lines, they warm up the pools a little, but its just not as enjoyable overall.

    vacation = hott sunny. relax.

    not cold, limited, brrr..

    haha.

    good luck hope it helped! :]
