I've been wondering this for a while. I don't celebrate Christmas in July but the thought has been eating me.

  1. Your right half way to Christmas is in June. But It's not called halfway to Christmas in July. It's just called Christmas in July..

  2. I think it was made in acceptable to have Christmas in July for families that have a member of ill health or are terminally ill and wont be around for the holidays. That's what I was told anyway.

Plus it's usually hot in July and the thought seems so ridiculous that it actually becomes normal to have it during summer - and henceforth why people celebrate it so early.

Personally, I like the real thing and can't wait until December.

  3. Well, actually, it's not called "half-way-to-Christmas in July" it's just called "Christmas in July". It could be called "Christmas in October" and it still wouldn't be a contradiction.

Aside from that, wouldn't the halfway point be near the END of June or within a few days of theBEGINNING of July anyway?
