Why is it called a full moon when we only see half of it ?

It's because we use words such as "full" or "half" relative to what we see. We can only see half of the moon, so we say "full moon" when we see whole of that half, "half moon" when we see a half of that half, and so on. It's all about fractions, baby ;-)

I may be dumb, but i'm thinking that if you think of it that way, then we will NEVER be able to see the full moon.
