  1. i have no idea but maybe years ago you only got three points instead of four so they called it a tri ?


  2. both rugby codes use Try as a method of scoring. in the very first games of rugby you could only score points from converting the ball from a spot over the cross bar. You earned the oppertunity to 'Try' and kick for goal by carrying the ball over the 'Try-Line'.

  3. Try is the same in all rugby not just leugue.' A Try is called a try becaause somone tried to get a tri???' i dont know it what the first think the person thought of when he invented footy lol and 14 years ago a try used to only be 3 points not 4 and 5.
