Why is it called lemon sole?

Cos if it was called 'r sole' nobody would eat it.

I don't know, but I know that a lemon shark in no way resembles a lemon.  and try not to upset the shark.

The 'sole' just relates to the type of fish (there are a number of different 'sole's) and the 'lemon' relates to the shape of the fish's body. They are also a slightly lighter colour than many of the soles
