  1. Because the royal bank of scotland is not called the bank of england.


  2. Because Scotland, Wales and Ireland have their own banks too.

    Also as they are in England.

  4. Because there are also banks called "The Bank of Scotland" and  "The Bank of Ireland". Also there used to be a "Bank of Wales" which went bust in 2002.
