Question:

Why is it considered "unpatriotic" to think for yourself and not buy into the "Bush" line?

It seems to me people who think for themselves instead of doing the Bush inspired "chicken little dance" (running around, waving your arms screaming "We're all gonna die" when the Bush administration invokes 9/11 for any old reason) are considered "unpatriotic." If one decides to take the nose ring off and decides to research things instead of conforming to the Neo-con way of thinking, one is a "danger to the country" and supporting terrorism. Why is that? Are we that scared of people who think for themselves?

  1. The lie  which has life beyond Bush is that the question. Simple to move beyond the residue of lies now that Bush is gone a Solar Power campaign to wash Bush taste out of voter mouths. Solar Power Party with Henry Ford type assembly line production of Solar Power Cars, Anti-War platform, Solar Power for all, posters, Mayors elected, people supporting such in all power levels.

  2. Because we notice how you regard the idea of 'patriotic' being to mindlessly agree with your political opinions.

The only difference between yourself and those you criticize is what side of the political spectrum you are on.

  3. They just call people names when their made up facts and half truths are seen for what they are. My uncle still calls me a pacifist for think the Iraq war was a stupid idea. He thinks my wanting us to concentrate our troops in Afghanistan and pressure Pakistan to get the murders of our citizens is some how a pacifist position. Conservatives seem very small minded to me if you disagree with then at all they just start calling you names and question your patriotism how sad.

  4. The McCarthy era of the Bush administration isn't really in full swing anymore.  Post this question 5 years ago.

  5. you are a few years too late...we've all moved on past Bush already.

  6. people are scared of change. and for that people consider it "unpatriotic".

  7. because a lie told enough sounds like truth - the ones who do lockstep are dittoheads, the ones who don't are the patriotic ones.

you know who you are - why should someone else's label bother you?
