  1. with reference to the link you gave it is to be understood that one shouldn't waste water while thawing and washing the turkey.

    however i have not come across any proverbial statement to this effect.best of luck for your search for a satisfactory answer.

  2. I have seen how they are processed. I also many years ago worked at a meat counter while in school. Trust me I don't care if it is considered wasting water by some. I wash mine.

  3. Because they will just get dirty again. Have you seen how they live? It's disgusting. No wonder Eagles will have nothing to do with them.

  5. Turkeys will drown if left out in the rain because they look up, with their mouth open, wondering what is hitting them in the head.   Turkey killer!!!

    Wild turkeys are actually pretty smart though.

  7. if you were using lets say thousands of gallons then yes a waste ,however the few gallons you may use to wash and defrost a bird for the health benefits are more than worth it
