Why is it dangerous to post pictures of your kids on your multiply, 360 or other accounts?

I have pictures of mine on my 360 & my husband told me it's dangerous & that I shouldn't have them up for the whole world to see? What is so dangerous about it??

Unfortunately we cannot post our real pictures because there's too many perverts out there, and with a simple "Cut and Paste" they can use your pictures for themselves...

Many people's lives have been ruined because their pictures appeared in pornographic sites, and the worst of them all: Pictures of children for the same perverted purpose.

It is very dangerous and many children and adults have been kidnapped and used for these purposes. It ruin not just the person's life but also the lives of the people around them.

This is why Yahoo came up with the idea of using Avatars instead of pictures...

I don't think there is any real harm unless the people viewing the pictures are unscrupulous and know where you live which won't happen. It's probably just the fact you don't know who will see them. But that's men for you. My hubby would be the same.  :)

there is no harm i think.........using the same...bcoz i know that world is not going to eat my son.....if i use his real picture instead of mine or an avatar.....its a way to get wishes and prayers for him most of the users comment about his cuteness....what do u think ?

Many women have been upset about things happening on Yahoo when they post their real pictures. They never thought somebody would do something wrong or bad with their pictures. I learned from their mistakes. I do not post pictures at all.

Greeks.. and trolls.. can run(find) u..

they will no what the kids look like..and the age..

example.. a predator.. likes kids age 6... they see them on Ur site...

they can run u down.... stalk Ur house, apt.. wait for them to play or come home from school etc.. and snatch.. them..

maybe some guy like blond boys.. or red headed girls..

it is not a good idea...

they can get Ur pH number.. make threatening pH calls... or leave notes..
