  1. For all you 'guests' that deny minorities getting a free ride, check out this article:

    This is your proof!

I'm a 10 year USMC disabled veteran, have a 25 ACT and a 1472 SAT. Why am I denied? The last 16 responses from Tx. colleges have been the lack of diversity. I work 2 full time jobs and still fall into the low income brackets. And yes.. I'm a straight, white, christian male. No kids might I add. I'm not asking for a full ride. In fact, I don't want tax payer dollars going towards my education. Why would I want a handout?

Cus everyone else gets it? That doesn't solve the problem. This country is in serious debt! Govt. needs to cut this grant bs!

  3. How about this. You guys are all racist by assuming that minorities are statistically low income. And yes minorities are favored in scholarships. Whatever. And before you accuse me of bigotry and racism and nazism and vampirism and conservatism(that ones true), realize that I have absolutely nothing against minorities. h**l they dont write the policies. It is our fault that it happens, because we feel we need to apologize for the past. We cant change it we can only move on. By dwelling on it, we prolong it. Though minorities aren't completely scott free. The race card is the single most annoying thing I have ever encountered. So yea, minorities do get into colleges easier, and do get scholarships easier, and do on average, get higher scholarships. Mostly the higher scholarships are just because hey are assumed low income. Have you ever looked at a minority scholarship form? There is no mention of income level on any of them, its just assumed that they are low income and so need more help. Less than 20 % of blacks are still considered low income while almost 30% of whites hold that glorious title, yet we still assume blacks to be worse off. Racism is still going on, white people are just racist against themselves. Which is weird. Anyway hope this helps.
