  2. because salt water is more dense and the less dense objects always move the opposite direction of the pull of gravity that is why when you mix sand and water after a while the sand will sink and the water will rise the water is less dense than the sand

    same thing the difference between our bodies and the salt water is more than that between normal water

    therefore we float easier in salt water because we are so to say pushed up more

    same concept is why hydrogen has a stronger lifting power than helium
