Why is it hard to open your eyes under water?

  1. I believe it's probably one of those irrational 'fears' that some people have. It's not logical to allow something foreign into your eye so your brain, in some cases, simply instructs to keep your eyes shut.

    If you persist I am sure you could train your brain to accept that your eyes are not at risk and would then not find it a problem.


  2. it`s not. for example i can`t swim with my eyes closed. i`m scared to.

  3. It isn't - if you don't you might run into something.  It can hurt if you're in saltwater or in a pool with alot of chemicals.
