Why is it illegal in North Dakota to sleep with your shoes on? Do they really prosecute for that?

I was seeing the aol news section on wacky state laws and one said about it being illegal in the state of North Dakota to sleep with your shoes on? Any one from North Dakota? Do you observe this regularly?

That is a silly law, and there were such silly laws back in the early days.  I seen other silly laws besides the law you stated above.

well isnt that silly,they wont let you go without shoes and then its the opposite for the shoe lovers out there

I doubt very much that this is actually a law. I've seen it - and many other similar ones - on many "dumb laws" web sites, but I've never seen any link to the actual law - and ND's laws are available online.
