  1. By erecting a mail receptacle for the delivery of US Mail, you agree to that provision of the statutes governing the delivery of US Mail.

If you do not agree to provide a receptacle for a Letter Carrier to use to place your mail into, then, you will not get mail.

You also pay for the electric meter housing on your house, but you have no access to that either.

  2. We have a federal law, making the Postal Service a monoply when it comes to delivering mail.

You can use UPS or Fedex to send letters...at a significant cost.

  3. the patron pays for a mailbox only if the previous owner took the box when they moved you only pay for the box if someone steals it or the home owner wants to change it that mailbox is not just a junk box  that little box collect financial and private personal information no one is allowed in that box other than the postal service and the home owner therefore it is protected buy the federal government 24 7 it is a federal offense if someone goes in it  otherthan the home owner would you rather pay someone else to protect your private documents 24/7  small price to pay you really dont have to have a mail box just let the mail man throw it on your lawn at least the federal government doesnt own  that you can protect your own c**p!
