  1. firtd of all  u need to know what exists in an ecosystem.it is as much a physicval aspect as much as its mechansistic action.its the interaction between the living componenets with the abiotic componenets.now although, to know the ecosystem energy flow or cycling, we need to know only the components or group of organisms like say detritus, how are we going to analyze the the actual picturte of ecosystem and its functioning if we dont know the species involved?

  2. I want to know how everything contributes to our well being.  I want to know what is being done to help our bees.  If they die out  most plants will die out.   Our food that eats the plants will die out. We would die out .   Every thing has purpose and has a connection to us.  Worms plow the ground so plants can grow  that give us clean air to breathe.   Even bacteria  is beneficial.

  3. It is important so that we will know what kind of ecosystem it is for the first place.

For example. Cactus are usually found on humid dry places where temperature are extreme. So, the ecosystem it is located can be classified as desert.
