  1. because it helps you work with higher levels of math. it also allows your mind to "work out". we phsyically work out to gain muscle by lifting weights. We mentally work out by doing things that are hard, like algebra. Trust me, in the end, it makes everything else seem easier once you understand algebra. I used to ask the same question and now it all makes sense


  2. Algebra is used every day; you just don't see it as algebra. Price fixes, amount of employees, pay raises/cuts, etc use algebra to solve. We just don't see it because management does it. They also use computers to assist them. Basically, math is used in the higher division jobs. If you know algebra, you will have an understanding of how people get figures ( numbers) like they do.

  3. if you cant do algebra you will be limited to doing simple elemnty mathematics in life. Without algerba you wont understand any other math at all
