It goes back to the old law of "one species/habitats destruction begins the downfall of another one's"...essentially, it is important to protect the very fragile ecosystems on the shoreline because these ecosystems support plant and animal life....essential to the success of that particular ecosystem. If you kill the plants, the birds cannot eat the seeds and dies, then the owl cannot eat the birds and dies, then the fox cannot eat the owls and dies...that kind of scenario...

    Shorelines are also a natural buffer against storms.


  2. In case the dolphins (not Miami) realise who is the real enemy and attack.
