Question:

Why is it important to recycle?

I have always been hardcore for recycling... but now I don't even know why. I havent been preached to about recycling in such a long time that I forgot why I do it. One and only reason that sticks with me is so animals don't eat the trash or get strangled by it.

  1. We need to keep the planet as clean outside as we do inside our home (for us clean freaks).  God expects us to take care of the things that He has entrusted to us.  I would not want my house to look like the trash bin that is outside (everyone throws their trash wherever).

  2. I think in a lot of cases, it just makes people feel good like they're doing something. A lot of the stuff put in recycle bins are not economically viable to be recycled and go to the dump anyway. Some of the junk is environmentally worse to recycle than dump, also.

I recycle the stuff and let them sort it out.

  3. You're right, one reason is so that it doesn't kill animals. It's also because if you don't recycle, it's taken to a landfill where it just sits and pollutes. By recycling we can reuse some of our creations so that were not sending them out for animals to eat and such. It's great for the environment, otherwise in a few years we'd all probably have to be living in garbage.

  4. Its not! I drive a car with a six litre super charged engine; I drive in a low gears as possible cause I like the sound of all that power and at traffic light and in jams I hold the car on the clutch at full revs just to get attention and the sound is like music to my ears.

I burn petrol by the gallon in my garden for fun and my electricity bill is more than a whole village. I either burn my recyclables or put them in the bin. I have taken five transatlantic flights last month and have just returned from Hong Kong. I hope to buy a private jet soon.

I am OK  - global warming is a lie! Jeramey Clarkson for PM.

I do not think you are talking about global warming. Not recycling can apparently leeds to making more goods and therefore this can apparently cause global warming because of the resorces that are used to make the products. - An indirect link between recycling and global warming. If this is too much for your undeveloped mind you should not even be here smart ***.

  5. It lets the good little liberal boys and girls sleep well at night. Reality check, kids: Most of the "recycled" stuff ends up in the same pile as everything else at the dump. Sweet dreams!

  6. To ensure that future generations have a healthy environment in which to live.

  7. Recylcing is the process of reusing materials to make them into new products. Recycling generally prevents the waste of potentially useful materials, reduces the consumption of raw materials and reduces energy usage, and hence greenhouse gas emissions, compared to virgin production.

  8. It's about saving the planet. We don't have an endless supply of storage for our trash and c**p. Recycle as much as you can so that the generations after us don't live in a garbage dump that was once a beautiful(and not smelly) planet.

  9. U gotta recycle so our trash doesn't end up in animals' natural habitats. It makes them more likely to eat our garbage accidentally as well as transmit deseases to them.

  10. So our waste dumps don't get overfilled. It's better for the environment and we don't use as much material to make new things, we can just use reusable plastic.

  11. Because that way we recycle resources we a re running out of. We can reuse them and stop wasting. Plus some ways we make those things are not good for the environment, if we reuse thats less they have to make.

  12. Because it makes you feel good.

There have been many, many studies that have proven in most cases recycling is not only a waste of time and money, but is bad for the environment. The exceptions are most metals and a few other items, it’s easy to find out what items are worth recycling, if someone is willing to pay you for it then it’s probably worth recycling.

  13. It's not. If their is realistic use of your recyclables the reclaimer will buy a mechanical processor that will sort cardboard, paper, plastic, glass, aluminum, ferrous.

Different Machinery also can chunk up your PC and recycle.

Course if your willing to do it for free Why should he buy the equipment?

The real art is to get more companies reusing recycled goods obtained from the reclaimer. Law of supply and demand. if he has a larger market he can more easily justify the cost of equipment

  14. To reduce the amount of waste that goes in the landfills because we're running out of space. Also to make sure we never run out of fleece since it's made from recycled plastic .

  15. its important for the environment!

its great that your recycling and not throwing trash on the streets like some litterers and when it rains that trash goes into the ocean with the poor sea animals...imagine going in a pool filled with trash, oil, cans, and things that can kill you
