Why is it impossible to fly from London to the East Midlands?

I need to get up there and hate trains and coaches?

Why arnt there any flights that go between airports?

  1. Because its such a short flight its hardly worth the time.

    I think your better off just getting on a coach or get a taxi.

    It'll cost you but its probably cheaper to do that as well.

  2. Quite possibly because the flight would be so short it wouldnt be cost effective - I mean it probably would be less than half an hour! Why not try Birmingham? Its not that far away.

    Train only takes 1 hour 30 mins on a quick route and if booked early costs about £12!! Surely thats better than all the hassle of flying?
