Why is it ironically that SUVs look low-class, and even more so the higher they are lifted up above the ground

I'm not trying to tell people what to drive, I'm simply pointing something out about SUVs.

  1. SUV's are not low class. Not in my neighborhood and certainly not anywhere that I live.  It's a choice.  We do have that in America.  Choose whatever is right for you but don't advocate what the rest of us want to drive.

  2. Don't get how a gas guzzler< $ 20K + altered to be higher of the ground would look more low class. You would think it would be something like a dodge neon.. I don't know why they look low class to you.. what do you even mean by low class, poor ppl or have no class?

  3. Oh yes, all those expensive SUV's look much more low class than the dime a dozen cavaliers and sunfires people are trying to pass off as tuner cars these days. Nothing is sexier than an SUV/truck lifted on fat tires, IMO.

  4. Yes, it is ironic, in that even though they are expensive, in appearance they are quite ugly and low class. I think you have hit upon something here.

There is more than a little hint of military in an SUV vehicle. Take the Hummer for example. The things that people do to each other in war is quite uncivilized and barbaric, i.e. low class.

SUV vehicles are somewhat out of proportion. If SUVs were people they would be fat people. Fat women were considered rich and beautiful a hundred years ago, but not in moderrn times. We have regressed in that people think this way about cars now.

An SUV in traffic is like a fat person in football armor at a cocktail party. The fact that people don't recognize this shows that they lack class. Furthermore, they dare lift their vehicle up high for everyone to see, blocking everyone's view and adding things to it demanding attention like a little kid. When inside one of these vehicles, which have been proven to be less safe, it makes some people feel safe and important, proving that they are in reality insecure, uninformed low-class people.

SUVs are expensive. But they're not that expensive.

  5. I agree, they're quite like a vehicle a chav with money would drive.

  6. We all know that there are people out there who drive a neon, a focus, whatever, and whether you believe it or not, they happen to be insanely rich.  Then there are others, who don't have any cash whatsoever, who try to impress others with an ridiculously large vehicle.  As for them high above the ground, I think any vehicle or truck lifted high above the ground looks hideous.

  7. I haven't noticed that, but perhaps it's because you don't drive one.

  8. no it's not low class. Pick up trucks and tiny economy cars are low class. But that is just my opinion though.

  9. Because an ugly piece of s**t is still an ugly piece of s**t, even if people are dumb enough to pay a lot of money for it.
