Me and my sister both started running early in the morning & we both have itchy thighs while we run! When we get home they are all red and scratched up looking. The running route isn't through any trees or anything. Any ideas?

  1. You probably have chafed thighs while running. When you run your legs rub together. Try putting lotion on before you run.

Or the next time you see your doctor ask them what you could do about it. Or ask the pharmcist about the problem. they might be able to help you.

  2. Your legs are probably getting chafed from rubbing together. They make stuff for it like powders and gels. Try looking at a sports store.

  3. This is very common in runners and it has to do with diet and foods you have eaten.  Stay with me.....  When you sweat, your body is ridding many elements that are mixed with the water and this is called "Runners Reaction".  When the elements get on the skin it causes an itching sensation because of the sensitive skin. Think of changing your diet or eating patterns so 6-8 hours before you run it will not itch.

  4. Try putting deoderant or lotion on the inside of your thighs to prevent that.

  5. Don't use lotions. Use Gold Bond Medicated Body Powder.

  6. This happened to me in the past. My coach told me that I either had overly fat thighs haa not the problem or that the material from my shorts were chafing my thighs when I run. The material was it seeing as how i usually ran in my jeans lol
