Why is it legal for a father to hire a p.i to find where his young chid lives?

can someone tell me why can a father have the right to hire a private investigator to look into their personal information to find out where the child lives when i would have simply told him if he'd given me a chance

As long as the PI, does not infringe on your " Constitutional Rights", there is not much you can do. I wonder why you state, "Child ?". Are you under legal age?

It's the same way it's legal for a mother to hire a P.I. to track down a deadbeat who won't pay child support. It works both ways.

But, if he's an evil creep and you don't want him to find you, I recommend visiting this website and getting to know the author and his book:
