  1. because its part of the circle of life. species and **** die out. it's called "evolution" and a prophet named "Chuck Darwin" rode a magical ship called the "Beagle" to bring this news to us.

  2. Exactly which species are you refering to, and of what use are they?

  3. It depends on the people.

There are those who look out for others, and those who only look out for themselves. Let's talk about the second type of people.

All they do is care about themselves, take advantage of others, and make themselves happy.  BUT THEY DON'T LOOK OUT FOR OTHERS.

if they could just open up their eyes and pitch in, Earth would be thriving with animals.

  4. Well, I guess you'd better not have any kids, then.

It's important that people like you make the supreme sacrifice, so that there will be fewer people to use up all those resources. I suppose that's what you get when you outlaw war, famine, and disease. It's called life, and it's self-regulating. If you don't like it, stop participating.

  5. Because a lot of people just don't think about it. I think it's sad, but some people just don't give a c**p.

  6. I don't know, but it pisses me off. Especially for someone like me that has a passion for animals, and saving them.

  7. i dunno if many people believe it.

they think the world is forever.

  8. I think that has mostly to do with ignorance and a lack of understanding how important many species of animals and/or plants are to the planet's existence.  If more people were aware of how the presence or absence of these creatures directly affects them, they would sit up, take notice and maybe care enough to do a little something to aid in the preservation of these species.  Also, I think that far too many of us are guilty of thinking the earth's resources will go on forever, despite all the damage humans have done over the years through industrialization, pollution, over farming, over fishing and encroachment of other creatures' habitats.

  9. People don't care about decreased biodiversity because so far it hasn't affected them...yet. People should be pissin' their pants about this whole honeybee thing. People aren't motivated like they used to be. The only thing that will motivate anyone to do anything is pain, discomfort, or hardship.

  10. Unless there is an immediate or short-term impact, most people don't worry about the loss of a particular species.  I suppose this is attributed to the fact that we are extremely selfish, for the most part, and we have so many other things on our minds.  Humans are very resourceful.  When the going gets tough, the tough start wars.   Survival of the fittest applies to ALL animals.  I don't think that starvation will be our undoing.  It will probably be something like a meteor that will get our attention.  Or, a pandemic.  Something that occurs naturally that we have no control over.  Nothing can get our attention like Mother Nature.

  11. I care. But most people aren't even aware of how animals  are raised and butchered for food and clothing. These animals don't even get to LIVE humanely, let alone die that way. (When I was younger, we never had bacteria scares about meat/poultry like today; I think a lot of it has to do with the housing conditions, most of which are filthy, of these 'meats' being raised today.)

Also, most people think of animals as just another 'endless resource'. We've already proven how little we care about bodies of water, forests, air....why should anyone be concerned about animals.

Man has tried to control everything but himself. We are exhausting our resources but people would think it 'barbaric' to start talking about human population control.

I urge people to take the time to watch 'Earthlings'; it can be found on u-tube. It's a great documentary showing mans greed and the consequences our 'food' suffers for it, plus more.

  12. im with you man i mean hello people solw down think and like you will see..take a sec. of your oh so bissy life and thngk about it one da we will fun out and are would will be out of food and things tha we need and your oh so cute car and you huge house will not matter cause you will not have anything will help you live to play with those things..

  13. I think most people do care!  I saved & nursed 3 baby raccoons all thru the 4th holiday and enjoyed them so much (2 of them anyway -- #3 was the smallest, lodest, and never settled down -- he was a pain in ***, but took care of him anyway) but other two were just loveable, adoreable, sweet creatures whose momma musta died. Thank goodness we found them and hydrated them and fed and held them to keep them warm and make them feel safe next to our hearts !!!  Today we took them to the animal conservancy -- as they have the experience to care for them !!!  We missed them terribly tho !!! (except for Fidget!!!)

But MANATEES, that's another story -- I have to agree with the evolution therory there!!!)

  14. Many people don't care for different reasons.

Some use Biblical references that say we are the master of our domain.

Some just think that if animals can't survive, then they shouldn't.

And some don't give it a thought at all.  If it doesn't directly affect them, they don't give a d@mn.

  15. Why are we the only species not allowed to survive.

In our area we nearly lost all small critters, due to the increased coyote population. Once the bunnies were mostly eaten, the coyote population dwindled, and the bunnies are everywhere!

It's survival of the fittest. If humans were the cause of reduced population issues, the same natural process would take place.
