Question:

Why is it more difficult to sing in the morning?

I try to sing in the morning everyday, but my voice is way lower, and it sounds bad. But after about an hour of trying, it sounds normal again. Is it just because of my lack of use of my vocal chords when I'm sleeping??

  1. It definitely think it varies person to person, i have really no trouble singing in the morning, for me its at night times

  2. Haha ... yes! I'm laughing because this is an odd phenomenon but it DOES happen. The vocal chords seem to have little capacity to recall what they are capable of doing! We have to "remind" them by warming up. Some folks like to do this using scales ... you know, do re mi ... etc.

You could try it with a simple children's song like Old MacDonald or you could use your favorite advertising jingle.

Sometimes they get thirsty too (the chords) and sound more alive after your morning beverage. Try to avoid anything with milk just before singing (anytime, not just mornings) because this coats the chords and throat and makes more of a challenge.

Don't worry. You're not weird. It really does happen to most folks. That's why an early morning phone call will show someone's lazy voice. :)

  3. I think it depends from person to person

  4. Because ur voice and ur body needs to warm up. You have not been using and have been resting them for more than 6 hours. They need a chance to return to their active state.

  5. u just wake up! it's ok!!!!!!!!!

everybody in the morning singing in your same way..
