Why is it mosit near the equator?

  1. The air's ability to hold water (as a true gas) increases with temperature.  Also with higher energy level in the water  more water molecules manage to escape from the surface tension and float away, becoming humidity in the air.


  2. Because near the equator there is more heat and water vapor because of all the near by oceans. When there is heat is causes more water vapor and the water cycle to move more quick. It happens more at the Equator. Lets, say you are in the middle of Africa, you still would have to deal with moist air because of the maritime tropical coming from both the Indian Ocean and Atlantic Ocean, also it is warm too.
