One person can obtain legal residence as a rentist in Spain ( no permission to look for employment nor to establish a business ), showing that at least USA$75000 are received from abroad every year .

Do yo think that amount is due to the cost of life in Spain , or is a way to say "we only want affluent people"??

In order to compare , do you know other countries requirements to live as a rentist ??

  1. Well, how badly do you want to live there? I'd go somewhere else.

  2. They want to make sure that the person entering the country for residence purposes does not become a drain on their economy.

  3. the aim of that to encourage building the economy ,, and limit the unskild worker to come,,,Holland define a skilled worker by making 48000 euro a year, but also, Canada require 400000 Canadian dollars in treasury bonds with no interest to be paid for 5 years  to obtain residenstship (no work or project are required)  even Egypt requires 25000 in an egyptians Bank to obtain residency for a year  ,,  U see Countries are trying to attract MONEY   not people  (i must say also that the living cost in Spain is way higher than the cost of living in USA or Canada...
